dog-friendly living
A pet-lovers paradise.
When it comes to buying a new home, the wish-list can be quite specific, but finding a property which is also dog-friendly can often be a little trickier. Shoreline offers outdoor adventure on your doorstep with refined relaxation – making it ideal for two-legged and four-legged friends alike.
The ultimate dog-friendly new home.
dog-friendly beach houses
Shoreline has welcomed several new four-legged residents and their owners.
The beach houses are perfectly suited to pet owners due to their generous proportions, flexible open plan living areas and ample storage, including a wet-room style basement for cleaning the muckiest of pups!
Some residents have converted the walk-in dressing room, just off the principal bedroom, into a pet boudoir, while the large terraces are the ideal spot for a post-walkies morning coffee with your canine or sunset lounging with your best friend.
Each property comes with at least one parking space in the secure underground parking which is ideal for preparing for longer walks.
a warm welcome for owners & their Dogs
Shoreline’s on-site team have been trained to ensure residents and their pets feel instantly at home, with thoughtful amenities when moving-in.
For example, new buyers are given a Doggy Welcome Hamper including tasty dog treats, a grooming kit and food bowls, and new residents are given a curated list of nearby dog-friendly beaches, cafes, and walking routes to explore.
Case Study
Shoreline resident and dog-owner, Ken Janssens
50-year-old Ken has recently moved into Shoreline with his husband and 15-year-old Border Collier, Jonas.
They have moved from Kennington Park in London and bought one of Shoreline’s 2-bedroom beach houses. The Leas Coastal Path and the Boardwalk, a decked walkway which is leads to Folkestone’s thriving Harbour Arm are their go-to places for dog-walks and games of fetch.
Whilst both Ken and his husband work from home, they love that they can still get back to London in under an hour and how easy it is to get to France and the Continent in their motor home, with Jonas, their well-travelled Collie, beside them. Back at home, Jonas enjoys lots of comforts in his new pad at Shoreline – he has a dog bed in the kitchen, as well as the living room and bedroom.
Having a senior dog, Ken’s beach house has a half floor configuration which means Jonas doesn’t have to do full stairs, and he has easy access to the balcony to doze in a sunny spot. Jonas’ favourite foodie spots include the She Sells Seashells café on the Harbour Arm and the Radnor Arms.
Folkestone dog Walks
Shoreline sits directly on the King Charles III England Coast Path, offering instant access to some of the most scenic and culturally rich walking trails in the country. One of the most popular dog-friendly walks is the Hythe to Folkestone Art & Nostalgia Trail. This peaceful 6-mile route begins at the historic Royal Military Canal and winds past beaches, woodland and old railway lines before arriving in Folkestone’s creative quarter. It’s ideal for dogs who love a mix of open space and shaded strolls.
For more ambitious walkers and energetic pups, stroll from Folkestone Beach to East Cliff Warren, a beautiful route with panoramic coastal views and peaceful woodland paths. The Lower Leas Coastal Park is perfect for a leisurely wander, with landscaped gardens, picnic spots, and sea breezes all around.
For something more vibrant, the Folkestone Harbour Arm is ideal - a lively stretch filled with food stalls, art, and views out to sea.
